About Us:

Community Bridges, founded in 1982, is a non-profit agency with a mission to advance the integration, growth, and interdependence of people with developmental disabilities within their own communities. We currently serve approximately 1100 individuals in the greater Capitol Area. Community Bridges assures and maintains the integration, growth and interdependence of people with disabilities in their home communities so they have positive control over the lives they have chosen for themselves. Community Bridges is a leader in the development of and advocacy for innovative approaches in supporting families.

We are currently looking for a full time Behavioral Technician for the Community Choices Department in Concord, NH!

Basic Function:

Responsible for implementation of behavior support plans and other interventions designed by Behavior Specialists. The Behavioral Technician will demonstrate behavioral interventions in home and community settings to teach pro-social communication and problem solving skills and reduce high risk behaviors by working directly with clients as well as modeling for direct support staff. Facilitate trainings and provide ongoing behavioral support for direct support staff. Assist with data collection procedures related to assessment, intervention design, and ongoing evaluation of supports. The Behavior Technician will be trained in crisis management techniques to be able to provide support to individuals, staff, and management both remotely and in person as needed.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, or other related field is preferred or;
  • Associate's Degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, or other related field plus 3 additional years of experience or;
  • High School Diploma or equivalent plus 5 additional years of experience

Experience: At least two years of experience supporting or working with individuals with a diagnosis of Intellectual/Development Disability that engage in challenging, high risk behaviors is required

Compensation and Schedule:

This position starts at $16.00 per hour and can increase based on experience and education. This position is full time, Monday- Friday during general business hours but can be flexible if needed.

Travel:

The employee will be traveling for two to three days a week that equals up to 50% of the week, depending on status of residential homes. Must have access to personal vehicle during all scheduled work hours. Must possess and maintain a valid NH license and safe driver's record in accordance with Community Choices standards with adequate liability insurance. Employee is reimbursed for mileage and use of personal vehicle for work purposes.
