About Us:

Community Bridges, founded in 1982, is a non-profit agency with a mission to advance the integration, growth, and interdependence of people with developmental disabilities within their own communities. We currently serve approximately 1100 individuals in the greater Capitol Area. Community Bridges assures and maintains the integration, growth and interdependence of people with disabilities in their home communities so they have positive control over the lives they have chosen for themselves. Community Bridges is a leader in the development of and advocacy for innovative approaches in supporting families.

We are currently looking for a START Center Nurse Trainer for the START Center in Boscawen, NH!

The START Center is a six beds, therapeutic program that is a short term stay for individuals with Developmental Disabilities and/or mental health to work on goals then return to their home/community. The START Center Program Manager is in charge of overseeing the milieu and therapeutic programming of the START Center, including the development and implementation of therapeutic programming and therapeutic groups. The START Center Nurse Trainer is primarily an administrative nursing role, which conducting intakes, writing reports, providing medication training/delegation and on-site guest observation and assessment as needed.

Qualifications:

Education:  Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience:  At least 2 years' experience working with individuals with IDD and behavioral health needs. Experience in programming for individuals with challenging behaviors. Experience with utilization of expressive therapies (music therapy, art therapy, recreation therapy, occupational therapy, etc.).

Schedule: Monday-Friday, with rotating on-call responsibilities which would include taking calls on rotating weekends

Salary: $50,000 a year, depending on experience.
